The Nou Fontana complex is situated slightly inland from the Arenal beach and sea front. The gardens are beautifully maintained, and the pool is kept in pristine condition throughout the year, and is always lit up at night. As with most apartment complexes the pool is not heated, but is excellent for swimming throughout the summer. It's refreshing at other times of year (if you're braver than Mark!)

The complex adjoins onto the Nou Fontana marina. Small boats are kept here, and there is a restaurant situated between the complex and the marina. The restaurant is called Amarre 152. (Amarre means berth in Spanish, and there are 151 berths for boats in the marina - hence the name!)  Access to the restaurant and the marina is through a private gate from the complex.

Just outside Javea is the Montgo - a characteristically shaped mountain that looks like a mini version of the Matterhorn from some angles. There are good views of the Montgo from all over Javea.

The Amarre 152 restaurant on the complex is smart and modern, serving excellent food.

Access to the apartment is from Calle Burdeos. This is a quiet one-way tree-lined street. Parking in Calle Burdeos is no problem for most of the year (it's busier in July and August).

There are a number of access gates into the complex. The nearest one to our apartment is number 8, on Calle Burdeos. Our apartment also has its own private access gate at the end of Calle Burdeos
